no mitsubishi in jgtc(super gt)?

Any one know why there is not any mitsubishis in super gt? I thought the 3000gt should have been in it but it never was,I know that mitsu is not as big as toyota or honda and may not have as much sponsorship but thir is even a mazda in it so why not?

i think that the 3kgt was in the years 91-95 with the puma GTO and beeR GTO

they require the car to be 2wd, the skyline is easily modded to 2wd, where as modding the gto to 2wd just slows it down.
