Question paint removal: how to ?

for my truck that is a current W.I.P. ... i grabbed a corvette kit from my friend who stopped buildin models.. and he painted the ls6 real shiity so i wanna get the paint/glue removed to i can colour it so the trucks colour.. im just wunderin what i could use to dip it in fer a couple hours or just brush on and it will remove the paint... would just paint thinner work for this??

You can use lots of things, but I wouldn't recommend thinner as it will attack the plastic. I like brake fluid, just soak it in an airtight container for a while (It loses potency if it's exposed to the air for long periods of time) and scrub it off.
