codes 34 & 21
hello
I found the codes 34 Maf air on my TS 92 and also 21 does that mean that thoses parts are broken or is it possible to do something I don't want to go to the dealer shop , the one here in Paris is for reach peple and spares parts are really expansive and also the work. Thank you for your help |

21 is TPS high. www.avigex.ca/xport/dtc21.jpg TPS is a variable resistor and can be tested easily: key off, disconnect the plug and test resistance between sensor connector B and C: initial value should be a few hundred ohms, adn then as someone slowly depress throttle, resitance should increase steadily to a high value..probably 5k or 10k ohms. Key point is you must have a steadily increasing value, not a sharp jump which would indicate prokec resistance track. Also possible, loss of contact at some points, specially at "normal" throttle position.
Maf is more complicated to test... www.avigex.ca/xport/maftest1.jpg www.avigex.ca/xport/maftest2.jpg but obviously, at some point, it procured some "out of range" value which might also relate to your previously reported problems with stalling..
