'93 Grand AM SE 3.3L idle/engine miss under load

This new to me car stumbles slightly at idle and has a pronounced engine miss when climbing hills. Also has a slight hesitation when moving away from a stop. Car has A/T. I have replaced plugs and plug wires. There is no check engine light on. Coil pack coils do not match originals I've seen, so it appears that at least two of them were replaced at some point. How do I check the coils? Seems to run smoothly at speed and just above idle speed. The car sat for about 9 months before I bought it, but I've run all of the old gas and then some thru it. Any ideas are appreciated.

ok well you say new plugs i assume and hope you gapped them all properly because that is the easiest to do.. Also the plug wire how are they.. if unsure a new set wont hurt.. Run a injector cleaner maybe even a water remover to the gas line.. but when i think of it your fuel filter if clogged bad will cause this so make sure its replaced.. replace the pcv valve...

As for the coils yes they can be tested but if one goes generally your car can barely idle without stalling and have 2 cyl not firing.. but i hear autozone can test em for ya for free..(im in canada)
