Here is a couple (crappy) pics of my ITR in progress. Ive been working on it slowely for about the last month. Finally finishing it up. Ive got to finish up a couple areas of the interior. A few details in the engine bay. Ive got to put the decals on and do a black wash. I was thinking about tinting the windows but if I do that you wouldnt be able to see the grey/skyblue interior as well, and I think the interior looks really good with the silver body. Its my first kit in about 2 years. Im still a little rusty. What do you guys think about it so far?

The paint looks really smooth! What paint did you use? and you think Wizards works better than Tamiya compound?

I just used Duplicolor Silver/chrome. I didnt bother putting a clear coat on it cus it came out really smooth and shinny withough it. I still havent even put a coat of wax on yet for the super shine. I havent had experience with Tamiya compund, just wizards and some cheap stuff I bought at walmart once, dont remember the brand. But once I tried Wizards I was hooked. I needed to buy some for my Real car, and heard wizards was best so I bought it, DAMN!!!! good stuff, so I tried it on my kit, looks good.

I have some Turtle Wax Polishing Compound, I tried using an old woven t-shirt and have not had good success yet. Some Tamiya compound is coming with my HLJ order...if your Wizards works as well as you say it does, I may have to get that, expensive as it may be
For the fstop, the bigger the fstop is the more of the picture you will have in focus. But the hitch is the bigger the fstop is the more the shutter will be open, so you better use a tripod so you wont blur the picture. Set the camera on manual and look at the instruction booklet to see how to change the fstop. The higher the number the better, mine only goes up to f8.0 but on a SLR it can go up to f22. |

Thats looking really nice and i love the interior too! I think u have done a great job with the colour combo and it works well and suits the whole tuning theme, ive seen many revel ITR's that just look really naff but yours is probably one of the best!
My only 'niggle' with it, is that the black lines on the seats are a bit too thick! But im just being picky

Protek, I did a bit of searching on MySimon and found a few cams that you would be well off buying. You might want to surf around MySimon and if you are up to it, spending and extra 50-75 dollars could make a huge difference in camera quality
SiPix SC2100 This camera offers an amazing 2.1 megapixels for less than 190.00. The only problem is I have never heard of SiPix. Canon Powershot A10 This camera does everything you need it to do, but only supplies 1.3 megapixels. This could result in some grainy pictures, but at less than 170.00, the price is hard to beat with the Canon name behind it. Good luck, and if you need any more help, hit me up.

I recently got a second ITR and I hope this one comes out better than the first. After seeing the great models here I would like to build anything as nice as the people here do. I am painting mine Testors Sapphire Blue Metal Flake with a cobalt blue and gloss white interior.
