Re: instrument cluster

there's 4 small silver colored bolts that hold that part in, 2 on top, 2 on bottom, you hafta lower the bottom dash panel underneath the steering column to get to the other 2.

There is an article about replacing the dash lights with LED's. I'm thinking about doing that. My brother told me about a site where I can get 6,000 micro candela LEDs for 50 cents a peice... I just can't remember what it was...

Remove the black instrument cover (multiple torx screws), remove the 6 or so 1/4" hex head screws holding the lens on. Down at the bottom where the "idot" lights are there are 2 nuts (10mm) on studs, remove them. Drop the driver side kick panel and usng a screwdriver depress the speedometer cable retainer and remove the cluster.
