A/C Question

Ok. heres my question. My 93 cav's a/c is empty. Im buying another cavy off my friend (same year) for parts. His a/c is full, and works great. Is there somehow i can transfer the fluid inside from that compressor to mine? Or, even somehow take that compressor out and put it into mine? Is it possible? If so that would be great because it would save me alot of money taking it in to get refilled.

Re: A/C Question

No.
You would need special equipment that only the professionals have.
Sorry.

Re: A/C Question

'93 is most likely an R12 system. You can convert it with a Wal-Mart kit, but I can't guarantee how long it would work mixed with the R134a you get there.
If he has an R134a system, I would say go right ahead, try the Wal-Mart kit.
