You've covered all of your bases except fuel delivery and sensors.
Turn on the key to the run position and listen for the fuel pump to start, it'll be a whirring coming from the rear, and will stop after a few seconds. This rules out the fuel pump. You should install a new fuel filter. It's a good idea to replace it whenever you do the plugs and wires. If there is still no start, then I'd place my bet on the fuel injectors. They may need cleaning or replacement.

I'm putting my money on the repair shop that did the head job did something wrong.
Are you saying the engine cranks but will not start or are you saying the engine doesn't crank?

Just because you can hear the fuel pump prime up, doesn't mean it's working right. You'd need to check the pressure in the system to rule it out. the best thing to do is pull the codes first and go from there.

Flatrater, how do you gather it went to a shop?
And tri-power- you're indeed right about priming necessarily not meaning it's ok, but it helps to make sure it at least primes.

I fix alot of hard problems just by looking at the work done be it in my shop or talking with the owner. If you knew how this business works you would understand that techs and mechanics work as fast as they can and things get broken or repaired wrong. Wires can get pinched, broken and so on. The key to this is the head gaskets were done and 2 days later the car won't run. I would do a good visual inspection of the engine area making sure nothing appeared to be broken. Gas engines need 3 main things to run fuel, spark and air. I would check making sure you have spark first. Next I would check and make sure the injectors are firing with a test light. To rule out the fuel pump you can use carb cleaner, spraying it into the throttle body while cranking the engine. If the engine starts and runs you have a fuel system problem. If spark, injector pulse are there the carb cleaner didn't make a difference than I would get ahold of a scanner and read the data. After that I would disconnect the cam sensor which when it shorts out it causes the engine not to stay running. Tman is correct in his priming of the fuel pump. If the pump runs with the prime than the pump should run while cranking. Turning the key on and listening to the fuel pump prime is a good way to establish a working fuel pump. It is true just because the fuel pump does run during key on doesn't mean the pump is making pressure. But pressure isn't the only thing to look for. You can have the proper pressure but have very little fuel volume. A restricted fuel filter will still allow you to have fuel pressure but you will have very little volume. Fuel pressure is a result of a restriction. The smaller the opening the higher your pressure will be. Think of your garden hose with a nozzle on it. Slightly open your nozzle you will have good pressure but very little water coming out of it. Noe take the nozzle off. You will have a ton of volume and very little pressure. The water nozzle is your restriction varying your nozzle opening changes the pressure as well as the volume.
