Engine miss at idle, Cyliner #1

I recently purchased a 2000 Silverado with the 5.3. I noticed the engine misses while at an idle. I had it checked out on the scan tool and it showed cylinder #1 had a slight miss but not enough to set a code. We sweithed the coil packs and it stayed on cylinder #1 so that ruled that out. I put in a new injector and plug into cylinder #1 still no better. Please any ideas before I dump more oney into this for no reason??

Did you swap the plug wire with another cylinder?

Yes we did swap the coil packs from cylinder #1 and #2 and the miss stayed in cylinder# 1. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Would a faulty plug wire from another cylinder cause this to happen in cylinder #1?

I was trying to isolate the wire that was on #1. If you moved it to #3 and the code came back, then the wire is not the issue. I assume you are clearing the code and then it comes back, right?

A miss can be no spark in a cylinder or no fuel. You have swapped the injector, coil pack and plug wire, replaced the plug and it still happens.

I would check the electrical connection at the injector or wiring to the injector.
