Question ??????Spare tire location??????

I know it's a stupid question but I have no idea where it is. My husband is at work and just got a flat and he asked me where the spare was. I thought it was somewhere in the truck location but thats kind of vague. So can anyone give me a better idea where it is? It's a 1999 Mercury Villager. (by the time he gets out of work it will be nearly dark so he doesn't have time ( or light)to search so thats why he asked me.)

Thank you in advance

Re: ??????Spare tire location??????

It is under the rear of the car and you need to use your tool kit that is located on the right rear storage door. In the rear of the van under the mat if you have one there is a small little tab of carpet lift and insert you wrench from the kit you just got and turn it towards you left. the wheel will lower itself from under your van you will need to turn till it hits the ground and then remove the cable and wing that hold it in place. The jacking up location on on your jack so read b4 proceeding and good luck.

PS
I have always told my wife to ride the van to the nearest gas station if she can or get out of the vehicle if its a safe location and go eat or shop till AAA gets there or till I get there to change it.

It is never a good idea for a person with little or no experience to change a tire. There is to much that can go wrong.
