sell for civic?
hey i got a 96 eclipse gs with a few mods on it and i knoe the eclipse gs with a 420a motor is hella slow even with after markets parts and the only way to get 14's if i get turbo and a rebuilt motor
do u think i should sell this car and use the money to get a civic with a b16a2 swap? or keep this car? opinion ne1???

How much do you plan on getting out of the eclipse what year civic do you want to do the swap in and do understand what your getting yourself into if you go the civic route?

sell it and get a 1g or 2g turbo you would smoke any civic with just a few mods. My friend has a integra gsr with intake, exhaust, cams, cam gears, vtech controller, short shifter, ls trany, stage 3 clutch. I still beat him with the t25

You can probably get somewhere around 4grand(give or take) for your eclipse. You can buy a 1g turbo and still have a few bucks for like a mbc,boost gauge,etc. You also could put a another grand and get like 95-96 turbo dsm. I don't think many people here will ever agree to get the honda. I agree with them too.

Why would you even ask this question in the eclipse/talon/laser forum? You know what people are gonna tell you to do, and I agree with them. If you feel that you really want to get rid of your car, sell it and get a turbo DSM, not some honduh.
If speed is what you desire, then going and getting a honda, putting a lot of money into it in speed mods cuz they are not fast at all stock, would put you right back in your N/T situation. You would be getting smoked by gst/x and tsi's with minor mods all day long, and it would take even more money to get to their level, just to keep up. Start it off right the first time....I'm wishing I did.

Ah. Disgruntled guys in there dsms tell him to buy a civic.
Well if you want an overall econo car, get a civic. If you have the need for speed or a heavy foot get a turbo dsm. A b16 swap is kinda small...isn't it?

Get a turbo DSM, it'll smoke most hondas completely out of the water. However, if you MUST be done with DSMs that Civic would be the best way to go. I drove a Del Sol with a b16a2 on Tuesday and it was quick, but couldnt touch a GST/ GSX.

Why does everyone that owns a civic/crx insist on doing a 4edr43b22zx motor swap on their fucking car. What the fuck. As far as the original poster goes:
Wow, what a question to ask in a DSM forum where every other post I read makes some derogatory statement about honduhs. I think you should sell your DSM and use the money to go see a therapist. Ask them why you ever thought that trading your DSM for a Honduh was a good idea. Obviously you like the styling/handling/whatever about your DSM. So sell the neon and stickers, save you pennies and go get a GSX or GST. Sorry to be so harsh, but try stopping into the Ferrari forum and asking ifyou should trade in your Ferrari for a Mini Cooper and see what type of response you get.

LOL, although i think i will take that challenge What are you thinking. Honduh. Geez. I agree with everyone else. Selling the GS and get the GST/GSX or hell even a 3g GT or GTS. But not a honduh civic.

Hey I like my 3g thank you. Besides I'd rather have have in another Mits than in a Honduh. My 3g might be as good as a 2g, but i can beat a civic any day, and there i have a signature now
