Just purchased a '95 Tbird with the 4.6L V8, has 106,000 miles on it. No engine problems yet, but the car is in clear need of an oil change. Two questions:
1) What sort of motor oil should I start using? Brand, synthetic/mineral, viscosity, be as specific as you can. Not interested in Amsoil. 2) How many miles can I reasonably expect out of this engine (still the original)? Can I get it up to 200k? I live in SoCal, so winters aren't a concern. Thanks. |

Re: '95 4.6L V8 - oil questions
I use 40 weight Pennzoil or GTX.
If you take care of it, yes, it should last 200K miles... cant say the same for the transmission though.
