is it just me

i don't know about you lot but i hate french cars is it just me or are jap cars better?

Hard to answer that one. First, Renault has (or soon will) a controlling interest in Nissan. There's also significant evidence that the new Sport Concept is based on the Megane platform.

Second, at least in the states, Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi are more American-made (sometimes greater than 80%) than Japanese. So I think you question would be better asked in this way:

Who finds Japanese styling better than any other?

Auto manufacturers have become global organizations that cater to specific markets. For example, the new European Focus will outshine anything Ford delivers to the U.S. public. The Mitsubishi FTO never saw the light of day in America. GM and Daewoo will soon be producing cars in China for sale stateside. And let's not forget, Chrysler is German owned and operated.

Who knows? Your next Z car may be redesigned, prototyped, and brought to market by the very French auto makers that you so easily dismissed with your remarks. You may even like it! So next time, think about the parents that have given birth to your favorite nameplate. You may find yourself having to re-evaluate your position.
