I posted about replacing the following on my jeep, THIS WEEK: crank and cam position sensors, ignition coil, alternator, complete tune up.
It still won't start. after the IC was replaced it fired once and gurgled in the engine and died. It was flooded, so I replaced the plugs after blowing out the excess fuel. The fuel pump works (tests at 40 pounds). What do I do next??? I am at a loss here. Please help me. Thanks. |

well the nxt thing would be air. try holding the pedal down a lil bit and see if it start, you might want to pull the Fuel Pump relay and try starting it a coupl etimes, it might still be flooded, after a few cranks it should start and will run for a second or 2 then die again just do this a couple times and reinsert the Fuel Pump relay, prime the lines (turn key to the ON position) and try to restart the engine.

is not a bad idea, you could put a table spoon of oil in each cylinder hole (thru the spark plug holes). I doubt if that is going to do anything tho, but it just might.
The engine does crank (turn over), right? |
