Question Fuel rail direct conect!!

I installed a new fuel rail in my LS. The thing is that I cut one end of the hose that runs from the fuel filter to the rail. I cut that end of the hose and put it directly into the fuel rail. I can tell there is more fuel running, but im not sure if is dangerous. I dont want to weaste gas, but I think is the same thing wiht that end or wihtout it.

I hope you guys know what Im talking about, and if you do, what do you think? is it bad? or it does not matter?

Re: Fuel rail direct conect!!

i would just be concerned with the hose popping off. why dont you just go to honda and get the banjo fitting in? it shouldnt cost that much.

Re: Fuel rail direct conect!!

the hose is inside a little pipe that came wiht the rail and is really thigt. I also put a clamp in there to hold it, so I dont think it will pop out.
my concern is all that fuel going in there, I dont know if is rigth. I guess the car will not consume a lot more fuel that what it needs. I will try to post a pic today and then you guys let me know.

Re: Fuel rail direct conect!!

Well, it isn't going to use any more fuel than the injectors will stray at any given duty cycle, or pressure, but that is still so wrong.

Re: Fuel rail direct conect!!

I have the fuel pressure gauge and is on the 35psi. I dont know if thats to much pressure or not. How can I find out how much FP I have to run?

some of my mods are : fuel pressure regulator, FP gauge, Fuel rail, Intake manifold, headers and some other bolt-ons.

Re: Fuel rail direct conect!!

You could invest in a manual for you car. Which, before spending a bunch of money on aftermarket fuel crap that you don't need, would be the best idea since sliced bread.
