okay here's my question to the wise people of automotive forums
...i was wondering what you guys think would be the best car to purchase for under 5k...i know that's not much to work with but i want a decently fast car to start off with and i want to make it fast...because that's what's fun about having a car right? well i would prefer rwd but if there's a fwd offer that i just can't pass up then i'll go for it...i have seen some non-turbo rx-7s and some non turbo supras for 3k to 5k on ebay...maybe you guys can give me some advice...thanks~Brian

Re: Una Pregunta
Search around on this forum, this question has been asked many, many times. If you don't mind the gas mileage and insurance costs, a Fox Body 5.0 Mustang or LT1 Camaro would be within your grasp. Otherwise, the 240SX, MX-5 Miata, or non-turbo 300ZX are good bets.

the question is - do you have any kind of income to pay the maintenance costs?
because an RX7 FC or 300ZX are quite high maintenance. If you want to modify an RX7 FC Turbo, things will break from time to time. I think the LT1 Camaro is the better option, maintenance-wise.
