D16y8 swap in '92 civic cx hbk?

Planning to put a D16y8 in my civic hbk just curious what i'll need to do swap? Should I swap engine/tranny and ecu? What about the shift linkage? any pointers would help.......!thx

From your current motor, use...
Axles/shiftlinkage/distributor/injectors...everything else should be plug and play, you may find a small wiring discrepency here or there, just pull whgat ever it is from your old motor.

and wiring in a 4-wire O2 from the CX's 1-wire.

do i just unplug the original ecu and plug the p28 new one in?

Yes it just plugs right in, you'll still need to run the wires for vtec. Here is where you'll run the wires from (from the engine to the shock mount tower plug): http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/...ktowerplug.jpg
And then add a ground wire from the vtec pressure switch.

You won't even need the second O2 sensor if you use the P28, so that will be less of a problem.

So the P28 ecu is in the 92 right now? or is that from the car with the d16y8?
