Left front click with Vehicle Speed

hey all. the last few days i have noticed that there is a steady, light click noise from left front tire that goes along with VEHICLE speed, not engine speed. what could be the cause of this? I'm not as good as far as chassis (suspension, brakes, etc) components go.

#1..look for a rock or nail between the treads of the tire. #2...listen as you apply the brakes...if clicking stops when you lightly brake, the brake pad may be loose. #3...see if the metal bands that hold your CV joint boot have come loose.... #4...does this noise change at all when you turn a corner?
