Re: Suburban radio

I have a 97 Burb with the best system you could get from the factory and about two years ago mine went bad and it was replaced under warranty (GMPP). The parts guy told me they are the same units as the Bose for that year but GM didn't want to offer Bose in a truck so they weren't labled Bose? And they didn't have to pay Bose either!!

If you take it to a good sound shop they can get adapters for the harnesses and you can see if it sounds any better before trying to engineer any mounting brackets or it may just slide in like the factory one does.

My radio had two cooling fans in the back and I noticed one out of a Vette that said Bose looked exactly the same sitting on the parts counter so I asked the guy and he told me they were the same!
