S-10 Cat convertor problem

okay guys a while ago there was i post on here about the warrenty thing that Chevy was putting out saying that their cat convertors in 98 s-10 were becoming clogged and malfunctioning, i took my truck into the shop when i got the letter and low and behold that was the problem but the kicker is that it has now been 2 months since then and everytime i contacted the dealership that Cat convertor is on backorder from the factory, anyone else have this problem or am i the only one also what do you guys think i should do about it?

Anyother dealerships in your area? If it's a recall it shouldn't matter which one you go to.

On my 97 the cat clogged up.. looked like a yarn. NEway, I hollowed it out for a month and bought an aftermarket to replace, but I also didn't know about the recall.
