Re: oh...the humanity

Must of been racing a sixer. That's a damn fast van though! I bet they completely stripped the interior and gutted it like crazy. I always wanted to do that to the 95 Ford Windstar we used to have. It had a 3.8L, same one in the V6 Mustangs. That sucker would burn out like crazy, for a FWD.

Re: oh...the humanity

old news, that vid has been around forever. note the blacked out rear windows on the van, im willing to bet that he has the rear seats removed and there is a big engine mounted back there hooked up to a modified heavy duty rear axle. ever seen those drag racing school bus's? same idea. no way that its running the factory engine i have one of those minivans, it aint gonna run 12's without exploding half way down the track.

Re: oh...the humanity

Some of those vans came with turbos i believe. and manual transmissions. I would speculate that with some (a lot) nitrous and a good size turbo and the interior stripped and a lot of wasted time you could get one of those caravans moving pretty good. mitsubishi makes the motors im pretty sure so you could probably make decent power out of it. Dodge makes the trasmissions and thats one of the big reason you see caravans fail is because of the trasmissions. Thats whats wrong with mine. Strong motor though even with 180000 on it.

Re: oh...the humanity

i got the opposite problem, trannys just fine, but the engine is crapping out. but still, that van ran 12.08 or something, i dont think the factory engine could handle it.

and um.. id have to see some evidence of these turbocharged manual equipped minivans before i believed it.
