how bad is my coil/ coil wire?

on shbox.com it says that a coil should have around 8-8.5k resistance, mine has around 9.8k resistance at each terminal... is that bad enough to cause the arcing at the coil, and make my car idle rough...

and the coil wire looks a little messed up, not horrible but once i replace coil i would like to replace the wire to... but the thing is i only need the coil wire, so could i just buy the wire seperatly or what...,

im going to be at autozone when i get this, so if anyone knows if they sell single plug wires or coil wires that would be great?

thanks!

Re: how bad is my coil/ coil wire?

Yes, they do sell single wires (about $4.50). You will need to bring your old coil wire in though, because their systems do not list it (they only list sets). Take your coil in while your at it, and they can test the resistance. There is both a primary and secondary check, and they have a test chart that lists the resistance range for each.
