know whats anoying
you know whats really freaken anoying... i have been researching the b16a engines for a while and its a different story everywhere i go... i know the b16a1 is obd 0 and i thought the b16a3 was obd1 and the b16a2 was the new obd 2.. but some places say the b16a2 is obd1 and the b16a3 is ob2... i have a 97 civic and was gonna order a b16a2 but im having trouble finding one with obd2....i found a b16a3 for ob2.. someone clear this crap up for me pllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssseeeeee

i have a 97 civic dx coupe... i want to swap in the engine that came in the 96-98 si's which i though was the b16a2... right? or wrong? all of the b16a2's i have been finding are for OBD1 though so i dont understand it.. thats all.. i also found a b16a3 for 6th geners...which i know its possible with a harness but im confused...lol thanks

JDM B16A1 (yes, there was a numerical designation for one year) = OBD 0
JDM B16A = OBD 0/I/II USDM B16A2 = OBD II/IIb USDM B16A3 = OBD I EDM B16A1 = OBD 0 EDM B16A2 = OBD I/II

ok... i think im understanding something, it just hit me like a ton of bricks and please tell me if im wrong... i can get any b16a2 swap.... i just need an ecu thats obd2 correct... are all of the b16a2 hydro trannies? just wondering that too...

the 9th one down.. theyre numbered on that page... thats the b16a2 that say its SiR III... i didnt know there was an SiRIII... i guess thats exactly what im looking for though... will i need anything else besides what they list..like linkage, axles...etc..please all help... i dont wanna F this up..haha
