ABS Brakes
Hello;
I have a 2001 - Grand Prix GT whereby over the past couple of mnths the "Traction"* is taking itself off randomly (more frequently in last couple wks) whereby the ABS then kicks-in. Usually the "Trac" button on the dash has to be pressed in order for the car to switch to ABS , otherwise what would be the cause - whereby it's doing this on it's own?... I had the brakes (pads+roter's) replaced last summer but had no problems, up until recently. Any suggestion's appreciated. Mancini ----

Re: ABS Brakes
i think there may be a short in the traction control switch or button.

I'd say it's the traction control sensor. But have you have it scanned yet? Before you start throwing money at it, have it scanned.

Re: ABS Brakes
Sounds like a bad ABS sensor in the hub bearing. Its a fairly common problem and will cause the symptoms you describe.
