Unhappy ignition will not turn..systm cmplty lockd

i have a 2000 windstar lx and 2day i was in a hurry pulled in2 a prking space in a hurry wheels slightly turned ran in2 a local store for about 10 min got in the car ready to get home after a long day @ the JOB and the key would not turn the ignition i mean it was compltly lockd i quickly refrd to my manual ford obviously acknowldges this is an issu becz they offrd solutions which didnt apply 2 me bcz i was compltly unable to put the van in neutral so i cld strghtn the wheels bcz the entire systm is shut down.....clld to ford cus srvc but of course they were closed...my car is still in the parking lot until tmrrw eve.....ds any1 hve any suggestions....i wld appreciate it.... thnk u
PS my crazy van also has tha dang on"doors open" ringing when all the doors are shut im gonna tke the wd 40 advice..thnk u (we r not alone)

Try pulling on the steering wheel hard in the direction the tires are turned while trying to turn the key. There is a locking device inside the steering column that can move backwards and cause the ignition not to turn. If it is against a curb or parking stop, try to move it back away from it then try to start.
