Getting wrapped up in things....

Ever get so wrapped up in other people problems and find out your just make a dilema for yourself or just realize there making there own way through life and "Im so busy trying to aid them" that Im the one thats just actaully getting screwed or held back. I don't know I just took a long time and it finally hit me "SHIT lifes passing me by and everyone else is going there separate ways" Maybe its time for me too... Im going into my senior year an I'm starting to get that Shock effect really bad....

Re: Getting wrapped up in things....

Hmm, wow. Yeah, this is the first summer I've spent alone, and I love it. No family or friends to worry about. Are you the sanest person you know? It usually happens to us...focus on yourself for now.

Re: Re: Getting wrapped up in things....

Yea sometimes I do wish there were more sane people out there...

At least people who live by me anyway. Sometimes all it is out here in L.I is "Drama Drama Drama" x another 50. You get so wrapped up in things I guess its kinda good I got a chance to wake up a bit.

Well in 3 weeks im going to the Bahamas so I'll have a whole 14 days of RnR to clear my head.

I know a girl like that. She stresses a lot and needs somebody there to relieve her from the stress she carries from other people. Thats what being friends is for.

Re: Getting wrapped up in things....

eh, people create drama to make themselves feel important. its kind of a self realization thing. "ill prove i exist by forcing other to recognize me"

very Hegelian.

I don't know what you mean by "drama-queen histrionics"

But nah. She just turn manager (i'm sure you know. 24hrs on call, complaint about bs, trying to be a nice bitch, etc...) and she has had a lot less sleeping and a lot more responsibility. I've been friends what her for years now so Its good to make you friends feel better and good about themselves.

Re: Getting wrapped up in things....

Rally, best first thing is to crack those books, particularly computer science and electronics. Get into good physical shape, sitting on your butt 5 hours straight on one of those seats is harsher than most people think.

And, without meaning to sound crude, learn to control bodily functions for hours at a time.

Good math background is needed, not 2+2=4, but sines, co-sines, algorithms, physics, geometry [the heavy geometry, calculus, good understanding of ratio theory, it gets hard, but they won't train you for the 100K if you can't do it, much less drop you into a multi-million aircraft with destructive power without it.

Lastly, you have to have the mental fortitude to fire that trigger WITHOUT any future remorse over your actions.

It is just MHO, but the service can be a great start for a young man in today's economic climate. Bust your ass for your bars, if at all possible. With NO disrespect to enlisted men AT ALL, [I came up from the ranks, went to OFT and got my tracks], you will never see a striped service-man piloting the more advanced ships, so that means college.

Man, I remember in 8th grade I was walking into the gym and all of a sudden I just stopped in my tracks and was like woah, in a year I'll be in high school, in 4 years ill be in college. Now I'm done with college and it's still unbelieveable at how time flies, especially after that first year of college is gone. Enjoy every minute. I have a lot of regrets of wasting time, not going out at times when everyone else was, etc. In the past few months I've been trying to make up for lost time and go out every chance i get. Even when i start working i plan on going out if somethings going on. Life is way too short to not be busy.
