Question dead oil pressure guage, help!

yesterday I was testing my new tires in the swamp and I got stuck! I had water right at the bottom of the doors about to come in the truck.

Return home i noticed that I had no oil pressure!
I quickly pulled over and checked my oil level, it was fine. the truck was not overheating and I guessed that the water i had been in for a couple hours had messed something up.

I just looked under the truck at the oil pressure senson and pulled the plug to it. Then I turned the ignition ON and used a circuit testor to see if power was getting to the sensor. The light was very dim but it is getting power.

My best guess is that being in the water for a long time fried my oil pressure sending unit?

please let me know what you guys think.

Re: bad oil pressure sensor? help!

disregard last post, guage is working, water must have evaporated out.
