94-95 4.9

Is the 94-95 4.9 liter as reliable as the 92 and 93 models.

I thought i knew all about the caddys, but i didnt know that the 4.9 ran thru the 95 model year. I know that the first northstars are not good

I believe the 4.9 started around 1990 or 1991, but yes, they are just as reliable. The 4.9 had the lowest number of repair claims for ANY Cadillac engine in history!
Other than a tune-up at 105k, my 4.9 has been running great for the 25k miles I've had it! It's a great engine, just lacks the power of the Northstar.
