I Have 2001 Gc The Chk Eng. Light Is On And Its Giving 2 Codes

When I Run The Test For The Computer .

( P 1684 ) Then ( P 0456 ) !! What They Mean Those Two Codes??

P1684 - Battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts
P0456 - A small leak has been detected in the evaporator system

Be careful if you go to the dealer with the small leak. I had an error code for the evaporative(Did I say that right?) system. The dealer first changed the PCM and the error came back. PCM was covered so no big deal. Then it was the evaporator pump(not covered), error wouldn't clear for them. Then it was a broken wire. Error wouldn't clear for them. Then it was a hole rubbed through one of the hoses and the error cleared. When they gave me the bill of $500.00 for parts and labor, the gentleman told me, "That's the first time I saw 4 different things bad for 1 error code". I told him I couldn't believe it either. Funny the old pump couldn't be found and the service manager was no help. That dealer went out of business 8 months later! To make a long story even longer, Give the hoses tied to the system a good look yourself. the label under your hood should show you everything you need to look at.

I disconnected the battary .The error is gone so far for today !!! will

see what is going happen next !!!
