UPDATE. I recently took my car into a Toyota Dealership regarding the above mentioned problem. After having the car all day, they said that they would like to start by cleaning the throttle body, but they couldn't say whether that would fix the problem or not. They said the throttle body was extremely dirty, but with only 30K miles and regularly changed air filters, I find it hard to believe the throttle body is dirty. Does this sound reasonable given the symptoms? I was concerned that they were simply grasping at straws. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW: I did not have any work performed by the dealership.
Thanks!
