1.1 Mk3 Fiesta (1993) Idle Problem

My fiesta seem to cut out when running idle, no idea why, when I'm driving it is fine it's just when it's running idle after a few minutes it starts to struggle and rev, eventually stalling, unless I ease on the gas.

Anyway, asked a mechanic and he said something about the car not having a bog standard carb, it being central injection, and that it would cost quite a bit for a new one.

Anyway, I though I would put this to you lot and see if anyone had any suggestions.

any help would be most appreciated.

You could try

You could try fillin up the tank and addin some injector cleaner see if that doesnt help. IF it was a regular carb I would say its a idle jet needin cleanin but other than that im not sure. Hope I helped a lil
