Sold a motor... is the swap difficult?
I know nothing of these cars so I'd like input from some of you smart guys. I just sold a 2.2L engine out of a '98 Cavalier RS. The guy who purchased it is swapping it into a '95 Cavalier... My question is, will the '98 motor work with the '95 wire harness and ECU. I think he said he would swap the '95 head back onto the '98 block to solve the wiring harness issue. Will it work?

Re: Sold a motor... is the swap difficult?
The heads cannot be switched... 95-97 heads are different. Also the timing will be off due to the difference in duration of the cams. Also the transmissions will be different. If i was him, i would get the 4t40e out of that 98 and ditch the 3t40e, and just swap wires and ECM.
