Unhappy 98' Expedition Driver's side Power window

Hi All,

My Driver's side power window works only when it wants to. Put it down today and now it won't go up. Checked the manual and can't figure out which fuse to look at (to rule it out). Did this to me in the winter but worked after about 10 minutes, figured the cold was doing something, but now its starting to happen in the summer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian A.

Re: 98' Expedition Driver's side Power window

I recently had to replace the same motor on my '99. I thought it might have a loose connection or something, so I dissassembled it while it wasn't working, then plugged it into the harness to check it, and it worked. So I put it back in. Two days later I was at O'Reilly's auto parts buying a new one because it had stopped working again. The second installation wasn't as smooth as the first time I did it. Not sure what I did different that time though. Motor was about $60.00 for a rebuilt one, and about an hour or two for the install.

Thanks, I pulled the door apart and couldn't get the thing to work so I took it to an auto shop. The motor was dead and had to be replaced. Thanks for replying.
