No spark
1998 civic ex 73,000 miles.
Was driving and the car and it just shut off,Right before it shut of it started to shake and the revs would go up and down then it just quit. Cap,rotor,coil,plugs and wires are all pretty new. The car is not getting any spark at all,There is fuel going to the cylinders just no spark.The timing belt is new so I know thats not it. I checked the codes and there are none.Whats weird is with the hood up and the car turned to the on(not running) posistion you can hear a whining noise is that normal? Any help?

coil/ignitor in the distributor is prob bad

its the samething i just didnt remember if it was called iginitor or coil.mayb u have a bad dizzy.try a local junkyard or something. how u check for spark?
