Radiator Question!

I'm in need of a new radiator and the on-line stores ask if I want one with/without an oil cooler. I didn't notice my current one having that. Do I need it or not?

Thanks

Re: Radiator Question!

Just check your current radiator for more fittings. If yours has the transmission oil cooler you'll find a couple of metal lines going into it. (Probably near the bottom) If you don't have it the only thing going into the radiator will be the 2 coolant hoses.

Re: Radiator Question!

If you are refering to your 98 blazer, you need one with the oil cooler. Yours has an oil cooler and and tranny cooler.

I appreciate it!! I do remember seeing metal lines coming from the bottom. Guess that's the oil cooler parts of it!

Thanks Again!

I had been smelling fluid for a while. I investigated and found fluid all over the driver side. It was leaking from near the top on the plastic part, small cracks in the plastic. I tried to seal the cracks with some sealer(epoxy). This didn't work and actually made the leak worse. I haven't looked to see where it is coming from now but it is definitely wore than before. New water pump.
