His name is gary - don't know last name. He has posted an extensive story on pistonheads about owning an F1. Car was originally silver, first registered 30/08/1995. I am still unsure of the chassis no, perhaps someone can clear it up, it is either chassis no 40, the 34th car built or chassis no 50, the 40th car built. Registration is N711OGH.

I believe member AdamT clarified that it was 040 after meeting the owner.

His name is Gary Williams, there's a story in EVO magazine about him and an EVO journalist going to pick up his new GT3 911 in Munich - apparently he seems to enjoy thrashing it and his Mclaren around the Nurburgring - I can't personally think of many better ways to spend a day

Here are some new pics of the same car:

It looks like the owner decided to change the wheels.

I heard a very strong rumour from somebody that worked for McLaren. (Friend of a friend who knew the people at Genesis) They said that when the owner bought the car. He had it refurbed by McLaren Cars in Woking (as you do) Apparently he chose a colour, they sprayed it, he paid the $20K for the spraywork or so. Took it outside into the daylight and changed his mind. So he had it sprayed a different colour. And then another and then finally on the 4th go he settled for the Blue.

How the other half live! 4 paint jobs and all that cost when he could have settled for the 1st!

Re: Re: blue F1 high mirror, black wheels

well...i have to say something about that mac....the blue color don't like it that much....it looks very strange, and i use to like it before with the black wheels....but now with those BBS style Rims, it looks terrible...( for me )
i think he's about to kill the car putting more and more things....the original black wheels the car looked very nice, but i see it today like it is and i just desagree with his taste.
anyway, he has it, i don't. i only have a couple of 1/12 but it is not the same thing...hehehe
