flowmaster exhaust ?

hello,

i was looking for exhaust for my 1997 honda civic dxand i came across the flowmaster(FLO-17269
Exhaust System, American Thunder, Rear Section, Aluminized Steel, Honda Civic, Kit)i belive its the 50 series.and i was wondering if any 1 knows if it sounds like the flowmaster exhaust for the mustangs and so on.like does it have that authentic flowmaster sound.and so on.any 1 out there have it let me know how it sounds.

A muffler doesnt dictate the sound of the car, the engine does. So a flowmaster on a civic will still sound like a civic, not a muscle car. Hell, even if you used a flowmaster muffler from a mustang it will still sound like a four banger.

I dont know, my friend has an eclipse (RS i think) and he has a flow master on his, the thing sounds like such a beast!! you can hear him comming from a long ways away, (too bad his car is hellishly slow *auto*)

Yeah i never said it won't sound like a four-banger, i just meant that it wouldnt sounds like a typical V8 would.

yeh thats what i ment.i know it wont sound like a muscle car i ment the sound from every flowmaster exhaust has.i want that sound.like the real deap rumble every flowmaster has.but i never herd it on a 4 cyl.so i want that loud flowmaster runmble.not a weed wacker sound.

Well yeah, a flowmaster wont be too loud and will have a pretty deep grumble. Try searching google for some sounds clips, I know theres some out there.

Honestly on my friends 4 banger saturn it sounds like ass..I havent heard good flow masters on 4 cyls that sound good..Nor is that an upgrade most of us perform here in the civic forum...are you getting the flows cause they are cheap? There are alot of other brands to consider..

hello,

no the flowmaster was $200 for the cat back.i just that it would give me the flowmaster sound.i want a real loud deap exhaust.my brother has the N1 on his 98 civic and i want something louder then that.but i want a real deep sound no weed wacker sounds.

any suggestions.or any site that have sound clips.i found 1 good one but they really dident have much on civic mostly stangs and stuff like that.

i dont think the flowmast is gonna be louder than the N1... the reason they are loud on mustangs and other v6 or v8 vehicles is because the engines in them are so much bigger... your still gonna have a little sound comming out your tail... it will be an ok loudness but probably not like your thinking... and theyre are plently of pipes out there that will get you loud, and not a weedwhacker... just dont buy a can..
