Tornado Fuel Saver

The car they tested it on supposedly gained like 22 HP. The testimonials on their site could all be made up for all I know.
I have serious doubts about this thing and was wondering if anyone has actually given it a try?
I'm curious to try it with the money back guarantee and all, but they probably don't give the S/H back so I wanted to hear what other people thought before I'd try it.

I have never used this product but have been tempted as of late to try it due to the potential increase in fuel economy. One of the repair shows I watch on Speed, Two Guys Garage, has an ad for it now and I trust those guys since I have never seen them advertise a product they wouldn't use themselves. It is also advertised on AF. Give it a try and if it works great if not it does have money back guarantee.

I have to agree that he is pretty sure of himself. Like I said I never tried one. I think the best thing is to maintain your engine at optimum and you will get the best mileage possible. A clean air filter or a high flow filter like a K&N will probably do more.

Of course with a money back guarantee it is a free trial minus the S&H.

Dad, the best way to get good milage, Clean air filter, clean injectors, and keep your foot off the floor.

Well I ordered one last week and just got it today. $46 after S/H. Put it in and started it up. Reved the engine a few times, suprisingly it sounded better. So I took it for a test run. It actually felt a little more powerful. I was more concerned with my MPG which was at 16.0 exactly. I floored it after every stop I made, getting on and off the freeway, driving through town and got home 40 mins later and saw the MPG was still at 16.0. I'm not going to make any assumptions about this thing after having it only a day. I'll continue testing it out and monitoring the MPG display for month or so. But I did notice something after I got home from my little ride. I parked the car, and reved it a few more times and I heard a different sound coming from the exhaust then I did before. Its hard to describe exactly without having heard it yourselves, but it almost sounds like it does when there's a leak in the muffler or pipe. Not being exhaust specialist I can't explain it better than that. Although looking all over each muffler and along the pipes throughly I wasn't able to find a hole. The sound occurs at the very end of the rumble after reving the engine. Whether this has anything to do with the Tornado or not, whether this sound means a leak or not, I quite like it. Eventually I'll be getting a nice Cat Back system to get a nice rumble sound and HP gain, but for now this will do.

Yeah I will definitely be resetting my MPG display when I fill the tank next. Then I'll compare the average MPG from that tank and see what I get. I find it very odd that in the past 24 hours having it installed the fuel economy has neither decreased or increased, but stayed firm at 16.0 MPG. Never seen it stay at a single tenth of the gallon for so long before.

I find it odd that major car companies wouldn not mass produce a part that could probably be manufactured for less than ten dollars a piece for all of their cars if it could really increase gas mileage this well.
There are so many factors that infleuence gas mileage, so any testing done outside of a controled enviornment (probably a heavily monitored engine, alone, in a highly controlled, indoor room) will be fundamentaly flawed, so until a more respectable organization (such as the EPA, who have not yet tested the device) tests the tornado there will be no dependable results, only opinions.

Any car, ours included, that have a screen on the inlet side of the Mass Air Flow sensor housing makes these items useless. The screen is designed to straighten out turbulence in the intake stream, and will negate the "Super Swirly Power" these devices claim to produce. IF you remove the screen, then it is "possible" that these devices may do as claimed, but I SERIOUSLY doubt it. I agree with Leadfoot that if it were possible, the OEM's would install a similar device to squeeze out every MPG for EPA requirements. Just my

Well after reading on the box for this thing it says to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. So I did, and now i'm getting 21.4 MPG, it's fluxuating ofcourse which is normal, however, I don't think this tornado had anything to do with the increase. For months before I got this thing my MPG readout would barely move. And I remember when I put in my K & N Hi Flow Air Filter months ago it said to reset the computer for the best performance, and I didn't want to lose all my radio settings so I never did reset it. I think if I would have done that in the beginning I would never have bought this supposed fuel saver. I'm satisfied with @21MPG, so I think I'll remove the tornado and see what I get without it. I'm sure it won't make that much of a difference in MPG and If i'm right, then i'll be sending it back.
