Help or something

Ok well i bought a new 90 Lumina Sadan from my neighbor/manager/friend and he doesnt really know that much about it

Ok well i already have one of the problems figured out - i have to get new shocks in my back end,
Ok how do you find out what kinda stereo it is so i can change it from factory to a new cd deck and such

Also my turn signals dont work, they only work when i but my hazards on so do you think its a problem with the wireing and if it is then how do i fix it???

Do you guys know where i could buy a new door handle for my back driver side door, i looked at junk yards and places here and they dont have any, so where can i get one?

Sorry if this is to much or something i didnt know if i should put each of my problems in a different thread so i just thought i would put them together to make it easyer, any help would be fine

Sabrina

Re: Help or something

alright, for the cd deck, all you need to do is pick out your new cd deck, and take it to any electronics store, like best buy, or circuit city, or amaerican, any of them that deal with automotive electronics, and they will have all the parts needed to switch it over to whatever new deck you wish. it would require a harness, an antenna wire adapter, and an adapter plate to make up for the difference in size(should come out to around $30,35 for the various parts if you do buy them seperate) and, obviously there would be the installation fee. unless you have a friend do it for you, then buy the deck, and the proper adapters, even walmart has them...
as for the signals, it could be the relays for the individual signal, or it may be the sensor inside the steering wheel that is connected to the stick(dont hold me to it, just a few possibilities)
adn, the door handles... ebay, ebay is an excellent source for replacement parts. if not, you may be able to have them ordered by certain automotive stores.
well, i hope this helps... like i said, i dont know everything, just trying to help...

Re: Help or something

Make sure you don't have a segment out on both sides in the rear lights, that'll keep the signal from flashing, but the hazards will flash. Also the signals use a seperate relay from the hazards, so it is suspect as well. I think it's clamped onto the steering column under the lower dash cover on yours. You can swap it with the hazard relay to test that theory. I think that one is on the fusebox, not certain.

Why do you want new shocks? If it's sagging, or bottoming out, that may not be the problem.
