I cant tell exactly where that is in the car, but it looks like it is directly behind the back seat. On all cars the wiring harness will be complete for all options, so it doesnt matter if it is a PI or not. The only exception to this is the PI model, they have the additional wiring for the lights that the common cars do not. Depending on the model and options of the car, they can be for either an amplifier, a subwoofer or, in some cases, the actual radio. Some cars the radio is in the trunk and the head unit in the dash only acts as the control center and tape player, the actual tuning and amplification is in the trunk. On the drivers side, those might be the power and signal wires for the subwoofer which is mounted to the left of the spare tire slightly ahead and to the right of the left rear speaker. if you look up there you should see the hole where it would mount.

its def. not a radio acc. wire, it has constant power going to it. i can follow the wires into a harness to the front. it is located in the trunk, on the drivers side, under of the carpet near the fuel cutoff switch. does anyone know if this can be a rear flasher??? thanx!

If it looks like the old computer connection EECVII found under the hood. It probably is the diagnostic connector for troubleshooting the air ride suspension. Comes on all the cars I've owned, whether it had air ride or not.

Well then it might be a tow harness kit for the rear lights. I had them on 3 of my 1996 CVPI, for the rear deck lights. Don't know if they still do it in 1999, but since the brake lights go through the LCM, I would hope they still isolate them with realys.
