Start with the search button, there's hours of debate about this kinda stuff.. And most of us are too lazy to get into it anymore.

why not just go with a gsr? A lot better IMO because of the torque so just keep the D15 for now and save up for the B18c. Trust me you will love torque.

YES you should go with the GSR! And you need the motor mount kit to install it.

ECU, transmission (tranny mount conversion if you get a hydro tranny), axles, shiftlinkage.

If you go with the ITR engine, you should buy all the parts at once. There are quite a few good places online to buy them from.

Re: B16 or B18 that is the question

Depends on what you wanna do...

N/A then C5 all the way!

If you wanna boost it, go with the C1...

The C5 has higher compression and not so well for boost...

I personally would go with the B18C1 GSR engine...

So your saying that the c5 has more HP but the C1 has more torque?

Re: Re: B16 or B18 that is the question

No...

B18C5 195HP @ 8000 rpm 130 lb/ft @ 7500 rpm
B18C1 170HP @ 7600 rpm 128 lb/ft @ 6200 rpm

(those are US Specs)

What Im saying is, for a naturally aspirated, the C5 is definately much better... They are high revving engines, made to be taken to high RPMs... They also have a slightly higher compression ratio (and much higher on the JDM versions)... This is good for a N/A setup...

The C1 however, is good for turbo or super charging... Which is what most Honda people want to do... And with the slight difference in HP, a boosted C1, can net more HP and torque, than your average N/A C5...

Re: B16 or B18 that is the question

Well then im going to go with the C1... Im just getting frustrated,,, I can buy the whole engine for like 3500 but I dont want to just save and do that. I would rather, buy it peice at a time and build it my self.. I know im weard. I just like to know that my hand turned every nut and bolt. the only thing is.. I have no idea how to start looking for the parts or even where to look. that is my issue. I would like to get for example.. head. then maby the crank shaft.,,, any suggestions
