94 4runner ac

I have a 94 4runner that has some AC problems. Sometimes it will blow cold air, sometimes it doesn't. It seems if the AC button on the dash is malfunctioning but I am not sure. does anyone know what this could be? the AC charge is good, there doesn't seem to be any leaks, and the compressor is good could it be the evaporator coil?

had the same problem with my 95 4 runner, full charge of R134a. Took it to a local ac shop - had to change the expansion valve. Cools great now.
