parking brake

When driving the truck it makes a noise in the parking brake drum. I had the rotor off and the parking brake shoe was loose from the backing plate. Is there an update to repair this problem.

Re: parking brake

If it's in the back brakes, and you took the Drum off then there should be some fasteners that hold the shoes onto the backing plate.
You should see some springs sticking out towards you with a button holding them on.
I'm not sure about this but I believe that there are 2 of these holding on each brake shoe. If 1 shoe has 2 holding it on the other one should too.
If there is 1 missing any parts store will probably have them in stock

There is a special tool for this job, but I just use side cutters, or a pair of plieres. Just because it's the way I was taught in High School.
I recomend the proper tool for a begginer so you don't end up with a spring in your eye.
