Question 00 alero radio installation/subs/amp

Hi everyone..these are great forums they have been quite a lot of help

so i have a 00 alero. I am taking my 2 12" subs and 500 watt amp from my old car and putting them in here. I was wondering if the stock radio had rca outputs or if i had to buy an adaptor of sorts. I saw onb another post about a "line out converter" for about $20. Is that all i would need and then id be fine to go?...any help would be very greatly apreciate...thanks

Matt

You'll need a line out/RCA converter. The Delco radios don't have any line level outputs on them. The ones I've seen have level and crossover frequencies built into the converters (though that was about 5-6 years ago). That should do the trick for you.

Re: 00 alero radio installation/subs/amp

You you can wire the amp into the rear speakers that would work too
