WTF was Chevy thinking? Control arm in the way of bigger tires
OK, so everyone and their brother has asked about what size tires to put on their trailblazer, and what will fit. Well, I did the research and the testing for everyone, so check it out. I recently lifted the suspension about 2" in the front to get rid of the forward rake (looks sweet) so I assumed that I could fit LT265 75R16 BFG All Terrain's on it. Well I get to Discount Tire and realize that there's plenty of room in the wheel well for it... BUT stupid ass GM puts the upper control arm right above the damn tire. Why the FUCK would they do that? Long story short, those tires rubbed on the control arm... just barely, but they did. I then went over to Belle Tire because they had LT255 70R16's and those fit no problem. Someone told me that 265 70R16's would fit, but couldn't find those anywhere in the state and I'd have to special order them, so I decided to stick with the 255's. Nice ride, sweet look and it's a step up from stock. Can anyone tell me any possible solutions for that damn control arm problem?

Are you using stock rims? I have heard that 265/75r16's will fit as well, but only with aftermarket rims that have an offset to them. I am about a month behind you. I am waiting for those damn Bilsteins to come in
 before I add my spacers.

I"m just saying that no other vehicle I"ve seen has that same setup. Just curious why they'd do it.
