Power steering pump & rack compatibility
Hey everyone,
I was wondering what the interchangeability of power steering pumps and racks are with these grand Am's. I have a 93 Grand Am power steering rack w/o variable assist and I'm wondering what year power steering pumps will be compatible with this rack. I ask because a buddy of mine had a 2000 Grand Am pump at his shop that he'll give me but I'm not sure if it'll work. Thanks alot for the help. Robert

Goto the local parts store and ask them. There is a slight possiblity that its the same but I highly doubt it. When the 2000's came out, I think the parts are a tad different, but I could be wrong. Let us know what comes about.
