Buying 96 H/B
Hey guys I am thinking of buying a 96 H/B for $4400. The person selling the car says its 96 CX with 2000 si front conversion, cf hood, cf lip, cf rear spoiler, cf taillights, cf headlights, power locks, keyless entry, cd player, alarm, shaved moldings, brand new tokico gas shocks, adjustable springs, 93 si seats, and 1.8 block sold with car. The seller also says it has stock engine but does that mean conversion is not engine?.... This all sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me but it does not say mileage of car so should I go for it?

Re: Buying 96 H/B
Just the block? What head? Which 1.8 are you talking about? Sounds like you have no idea what you're buying, might want to find that out before handing money over to somebody.

Re: Buying 96 H/B
The conversion is just putting on the front end (hood, bumper, headlights, maybe fenders) from the '00 onto the '96. If the engine was a part of the "conversion" it'd be a 1.6L (b16a2). The 1.8 I'm guessing is either an LS or GS-R engine (for the price probably the LS).
But you should test drive the car and see it in person before buying it. When you buy someone elses project car, you run the risk in buying a POS. |
