shocks for a 65 Mustang
Hi all-
I want to replace my shocks to my 65 Mustang. I am getting quotes of $300+ from various places to install them. I have gotten quotes of $210+(KYB gas shocks) to buy the shocks and then replace them myself. My questions are: 1) Are shocks really that expensive for a 65? 2) I looked underneath and I should be able to replace the rear shocks fairly easliy but the front ones look difficult to get at....any advice on replacing the front ones? Any advice or thoughts on my situation? thanks in advance... Rich |

CJ pony parts has the KYB gas shocks for about 120. The fronts actually aren't that hard to get at. Sometimes it's helpful to put a jack under the car and raise or lower to change the angle of the control arm to make it easier to get to the nut on the bottom of the shock.
