My 2002 taurus wagon continues to blow the fuse for the parking lights, IP lights and license plate lights. This results in no parking lights in front, but more dangerously, no lights in the rear of the car at night unless the brakes are applied. Has anyone heard of a short in the wiring? All the lights have been checked but I suspect there is a piece of insulation rubbed bare somewhere. Before I disassemble the whole car looking I was hoping someone had heard of a trend with these wagons.

Sounds as though one of the positive wires running to one of the lights is shorted aginst the body of the car.
