01 blazer tailgate latch

Hi all,

The tailgate latch on my 01 xtreme won't release on the passenger side. The rear glass opens fine, but when I try to drop the tailgate it won't release. I did a search and couldn't find anything about the tialgate, if this has already been covered please point me to the thread.
